World Environment Day

Nairobi West Flood Mitigation & Clean-Up Exercise

Nairobi West, we joined hands with the #GreenArmy Lang’ata Sub-County at T-Mall Junction along Lang’ata Road, focusing on flood-prone areas. The exercise involved dredging, slashing, unclogging drainage systems, and litter removal to ensure smooth water flow and reduce flooding risks. The activity addressed both immediate and medium-term flood mitigation measures, emphasizing the need for collective action among communities, youth-led organizations, NGOs, CBOs, and both county and national governments in tackling flooding challenges.

Sheria Ya Vijana Training Program

The Sheria Ya Vijana training brought together young people for impactful learning sessions focused on AI & digital tools, communication skills, green entrepreneurship, and business plan development. The program empowered participants with practical knowledge and innovative skills to enhance their personal growth and create sustainable economic opportunities within their communities.

Murema Primary School Tree Planting Initiative

At Murema Primary School in Kasarani, we carried out a tree planting event where 450 seedlings were planted, including 300 fruit trees and 150 indigenous trees. The initiative strengthened environmental conservation, improved food security, and supported climate action in line with SDG 2 and SDG 13. It also helped promote environmental awareness among learners, encouraging active participation in tree care and long-term ecosystem restoration within the school and surrounding community.

Nyayo Highrise & Nairobi West Ward Clean-Up Exercise

The Green Advocates Africa C.B.O, with community partners, carried out a clean-up in Nyayo Highrise and Nairobi West Wards focused on drainage cleaning, litter removal, and promoting proper waste management for a cleaner and more sustainable environment. conservation and sustainable urban living

Sheria ya Vijana – Green & Digital Transition Youth Assessment Meeting

The Green Advocates Africa joined WeWorld Onlus under the Sheria ya Vijana project for the dissemination meeting of the Green and Digital Transition Youth Assessment. The project focuses on amplifying youth voices and strengthening youth participation in green and digital transformation initiatives. The engagement brought together key partners including Barnfonden, the European Union in Kenya, and the Organization of African Youth to support collaborative action for youth empowerment and sustainable development.
